Exhibition Policy
Exhibition Policy
Since 1998 and until 2004, the Museum was housed in a smaller place that would not allow the establishment of a complete exhibition policy. In the frame of limited possibilities , temporary exhibitions were organized covering a small area with pure sport interest, that adopted the concept that was set by the floor plan of the area. After the transfer of the Museum to modern building facilities, exhibition policy centers on presenting exhibitions based always on the triptych “body, mind and soul” with sport, historical and cultural interest. In our exhibitions none of the exhibits is one-dimensional. Our main goal is to promote not only the historical, sport and cultural role but also the educational and artistic dimension. The intention of the Museum is the museological frame of every exhibition to be enriched and enforced through new technology applications, converting the exhibition route into an interactive and entertaining experience. It is distinctive that every exhibition of he Museum is accompanied by a targeted and directly connected educational program. The exhibitional action of the Museum is completed by additional exhibition productions with main goal the promotion, with artistic and educational way, of the folds of ancient Greek culture that relate to sport and the presentation of their current counterpoint, along with modern artistic and applied arts. Exhibitions that aim to present the main subject in a clear and intelligible way, according to educational specifications that should define a modern cultural institution.
