On your marks... Track & Field exhibition
Through the creation of an intensive experimental procedure for the public, an effort is made to present the history of track and field. Particularly, mission is to promote the ambience of the stadium during games, while the organizations, sports and athletes are mentioned. So, through the formal history of track and field, is also narrated the athlete’s story.
The exhibition intends a parallel report to two main fields, sport in antiquity and the unique Olympic production after the revival of modern Olympic Games. The aim is the comprehension of sport and its historical development, as well as the prominence of a dark spot in the history of Olympic Games that relates to modern track and field mythology.
Having as a standard the need for the public to identify their personal experiences, the choice of exhibits not only covers the need of enforcement of unities, but also foresees to the creation of a familiar sense with the exhibits and to the emotional and sensitive challenge by presenting more artistic interest.
